Career Point College is proud to announce the first class for the brand new Health Information Technology program starts September 12th! Over the course of approximately 14 months, you will learn to construct medical records and clinical databases and to control the quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security of both paper files and electronic systems.

Once you enter the workforce, you will be prepared to use various classification systems to code and categorize patient information for insurance reimbursement purposes, for databases and registries, and to maintain patients’ medical and treatment histories.*

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for Health Information Technicians is expected to grow by 15% between 2014 and 2024 due to major shifts many healthcare facilities are making from using traditional health records to electronic health records.*
