Medical Programs Overview
At Career Point College, we offer a range of different medical programs for students interested in a career in the healthcare industry. If you’re more interested in direct patient care, then you may want to try our Medical Assistant program, which offers a faster track to an entry level job in the medical field. Medical assistants work in hospitals and doctors’ offices, and perform a range of different tasks, from taking patients’ vital signs, to processing insurance payments and scheduling appointments. A great mix of patient interaction and administrative work, getting trained as a medical assistant is a wonderful way to begin your career in this rapidly expanding field!

Our Insurance Billing and Coding programs will provide another route to get you started in a career in the medical field. Insurance billing and coding specialists are in great demand given the increased access to healthcare that many people are experiencing. While this position doesn’t include direct interaction with patients, it offers steady pay and job security, and an excellent way to support healthcare while putting your organization skills to work!
