Austin Students Volunteer to Feed The Homeless

Austin, TX – On Saturday, July 16, Nursing Students from Career Point College Austin Campus joined Passion Missions in feeding the homeless.

Students arrived at the Imagine Art with one goal in mind: to help those in need. Nursing school can be challenging and at times time-consuming. However, these students dedicated their Saturday to volunteer their time and spreading joy.

Students prepared a luncheon for the homeless and proceeded to Wright Ministries to set up the food, greet clients and serve the lunch.

“Our students did awesome!” said Ms. Pirkle, Clinical Instructor at Career Point College. “They were awesome volunteers and did all the work in a cheerful manner. They represented Career Point College beautifully.”

The goal of these volunteer missions is to not only to help the community, but also to teach the value of outreach to all newly forming nurses and their role as individuals in the community.

Passion Missions has ongoing volunteer opportunities and anyone can help. Visit with your Student Service Coordinator on your campus to learn about these volunteer opportunities and more.
