Career Point College Cosmetology Students Honor Nurses for Nurses’ Week

Career Point College School of Cosmetology Students set two days aside to provide services to nursing students and staff in honor of National Nurses’ Week.

The School of Cosmetology provided Career Point College students and nurses with a $25 voucher for a service of their choice. Services included: haircuts, hair styling, manicures, pedicures, facials and much more.
Each year in the month of May, Nurses are recognized for a week for their dedication to helping others and saving lives. At Career Point College, we have over 1,000 students who are in the nursing program aspiring to complete their LVN or RN curriculum to become a nurse and begin their careers.

“We wanted to show our nursing students and staff that we appreciate what they do on a daily basis,” said Andrea Green, School of Cosmetology Director. “They work hard and study hard and we wanted to show them our appreciation for their profession and encourage them to continue to pursue their dreams in becoming a nurse.”

The Career Point College School of Cosmetology is open Tuesday through Saturday and welcomes walk-ins and appointments for various salon services. The salon is located at the Wonderland of the Americas Mall. Appointments can be made by calling 210-298-6276210-298-6276.
